Concacaf
Award-winning branding that heralds a new dawn for women’s football.
In 2024 Concacaf proudly launched the Concacaf W Champions Cup, a landmark moment for women’s football in the region and beyond.
WildPigs were selected to lead the creative and help realise the vision to establish
the competition as the leading women’s club football tournament in the region.
With boldness and a big ambition, the CWCC serves as a platform to progress women’s football like never before.
The Logo
Designed to encapsulate the brand story the body of the logo evokes the silhouette of the trophy – the ultimate prize. The outer elements create a
feeling of an upward, lifting motion bringing to life the drive and ambition for
the tournament. In the centre of the logo is the Triple C – the initials of Concacaf
Champions Cup
The logo also contains a Wordmark, this was developed with a sensitivity to the style of the pictorial elements, emphasis was placed on the approach so as not to overtake from the drawn component and to make every effort to create a cohesive feeling to the whole design.
Strategic Alignment
An important objective was to create a brand for the Concacaf W Champions Cup that aligns with the wider Champions Cup portfolio.
Football is experiencing significant growth across the region, particularly with the
FIFA World Cup taking place in Mexico, Canada and The United States in 2026. This growth presents an immense opportunity to position the Concacaf as a key player in the region.
WildPigs’ approach focused on ensuring the new brand was both strategically aligned with the Champions Cup identity and fit for purpose across all platforms.
We engaged players, broadcasters, and key stakeholders through workshops to
validate the brand direction and to gather meaningful insights. It was especially
important that broadcasters could easily adopt and activate brand assets.
Drawing on competitor research, we built a fully integrated 360-degree brand
system that could deliver consistency across every touchpoint from digital to
broadcast, while complementing the existing Champions Cup portfolio.
Creativity & Innovation
The articulation “For Greatness” anchors the brand’s creative direction. Guiding
the development of a bold, angular visual identity balanced with moments of fluid movement and texture. This aesthetic creates a unique space for the women’s tournament whilst echoing the men’s Champions Cup brand. Versatility was key as the brand needs to thrive across digital, broadcast and in stadia. WildPigs delivered a fully immersive brand system from motion graphics to matchday assets including a bespoke anthem. Innovation extended to the Final which was designed as a festival of football, setting a new standard for they ways an audience can experience elite women’s club football.
Brand in Action
To ramp up presence it was vital that the brand worked everywhere; large
and small formats, digital and print channels, still and in motion. Also key was
adoption by participating clubs who have license to create branded personalised
promotions.
Reception
The brand has been exceptionally well received, with clubs enthusiastically
embracing the toolkits and deploying them effectively across social media and
digital platforms. The Final, held at a packed Estadio Universitario in Monterrey,
Mexico, marked a defining moment not just in terms of attendance, but in
cementing the tournament’s future legacy within the Champions Cup family.
